Pick of the Week! Pick of the Week!
We’ve just added a bunch of new products to the Annex…and even more are on their way!
My Pick of the Week today is a stamp set from Stamping Bella…and I picked a stamp because I don’t consider myself a stamper.
However.
I would LOVE to do more with stamping. I have stamp sets and blocks and inks and embossing powders and a heat tool and just about everything you could ever need to stamp…but I never stamp.
So I guess this has turned into another challenge for myself…stamp more!
And it just works out so well that this stamp set is adorable and would work so well on just about any project:

I’m currently working on my honeymoon album and this set would be absolutely perfect to use on any page. Culynn and I went to St. Maarten for ten days, so holy hannah do I have pictures to scrap. Somewhere around 2100…and I think I’m about 30 some pages into the album (it’s progress, right?). Any of these stamps would make a funky background if stamped with VersaMark or even with a bright, bold ink. I think the negative would be adorable in a SMASH book with Instagrams (stay tuned for more about those next week!).
Do you like to stamp on layouts? How do you decide what to stamp and where to stamp? I’d love to hear your thoughts and suggestions!
Happy Friday everyone!

(Man. I need to think of some better titles for these posts…any brilliant suggestions?)
Pick of the Week time here on the blog…and stamps it is! Well stamps they are!

These are the stamps sets that coordinate with the Kraft Funday collections from My Mind’s Eye and I’ve just fallen in major like with them! The patterns are subtle, but you could definitely make them stand out with bright colors or on fun patterns. They’re adorable for just about any project – and they’ll probably be just as adorable in my new SMASH book (which I’m going to start working on this weekend)!
I’m also thinkin’ those dots would be adorable stamped at random on a 12″ x 12″ layout, to accent a photo…
Happy Weekend!

Where do you keep your memory cards?
Are all of yours tucked in pockets and purses and all over the place like mine are? I think I have one in my wallet right now, three or four with my scrap stuff, another two or three on Culynn’s desk, and a few more hiding in my camera bag. They’re EVERYWHERE.
My Pick of the Week is really the perfect product for me right now (I don’t like to delete photos off of memory cards until I know I have them saved in at least two other places – I’ve lost thousands and thousands of photos before – not a good feeling):
The Memory Card Organizer from Pioneer.
It holds up to ten memory cards, each card protected in its own little compartment, AND there are memory areas to note which card has what on it (I need that SO bad…I search through every card EVERY time I need pictures).
Another great way to stay organized in 2012! Get your Memory Card Organizer on the Annex today!

My husband is from Mitchell, South Dakota, home of the world’s one and only Corn Palace. Have you ever been there? It’s quite the sight. Yesterday, Mitchell, SD broke the high temperature record (according to the local weatherman here in Minnesota) by 17 degrees. I’m pretty sure my father-in-law was running around in a t-shirt all day. I most definitely would’ve busted out the flip flops and my giant floppy hat.
It’s a heat wave!
So in honor of the “winter that wasn’t”…I have a tropical pick of the week:

Graphic 45 has some of the most intricate patterns and designs. Seriously, some of them I don’t even want to cover up with photos. I bought the entire On The Boardwalk line to frame and decorate a room with some day.
Check out this adorable card using the Tropical Travelogue collection:
This collection is available on the Annex or at your local Archiver’s.
Hope you’re all enjoying this wacky winter!

I love tape.
I probably have at least 15 rolls of decorative tape chillin’ in my stash of scrapbooking goodies. Well 17 if you count my SMASH tape that hangs out in my purse…but who’s counting?
This week’s Annex Pick of the Week comes from the lovely Amy Tan (aka Amy Tangerine):
How exciting are these tapes! Scrapbook pages, cards, presents, SMASH books, Amy Tan’s adorable mini book, you name it! There are so many fun and funky ways to use tape. My favorite way to use tape is on scrapbook pages (well it’s a tie with my SMASH book). It looks cool over the corner(s) of a photo or when used to adhere a journaling block. I love using it to create stripes on my pages and gathering it to create a pleated look.
We just added a bunch of new products to the Annex (including more Amy Tangerine products and a lot of holiday products), so be sure to stop by and check it out!
Happy Friday!
