Happy Friday everyone!  The weekend is finally here…in another seven hours I guess…

It’s another Make and Take Weekend at Archiver’s…we’ve dubbed August “Make and Take Month” because there are just so many cool things to show you!

This weekend, as was mentioned on Facebook and Twitter yesterday, you can make an adorable card using stamps and paints from Claudine Hellmuth.  The stamps are fantastic and the paints are so vibrant!  Love them!

So going along with this, I have a video to share with you!

CHECK IT OUT!

Don’t be afraid of stamping with paints!  It’s super easy and creates such a different look than stamping with ink.

Happy Weekend!

A “How To” Post

You asked for it on Facebook…so here you go!

The “how to” I have for you today is about this adorable scrapbook page that Kirsten made:

The polka dots were made using stamps and paints by Claudine Hellmuth (she also used some black VersaFine ink on the dots too).  All you’ll need are the stamp sets you’re going to use (you really could use any stamp or stamp set to create a cool background for a scrapbook page), paints, paint brushes, ink if you choose to use it, and all of your other scrapping items for that page.  So here goes:

Step One: Grab all of your scrapping stuff and get ready to paint!

Step Two: Apply a light layer of paint the the foam stamp.  You can also paint on clear stamps and rubber stamps.

Step Three: Stamp your image.

Step Four: Apply more paint and stamp the image again.  Repeat as many times as you need to complete the image.  On Kirsten’s scrapbook page, she switched colors and then stamped again.

Step Five: Grab the clear stamp (Kirsten used the Claudine Hellmuth stamps that go together) and ink up the stamp with black ink.  She’s using VersaFine.

Step Six: Stamp the image over the image you stamped using paint.

Step Seven: Ta Da!  You’ve created a funky border down the bottom (or side, or top) of your scrapbook page!

It’s easy as that!  Make sure you check out the Claudine Hellmuth stamps and paints.  They really are an easy way to add a lot to your artsy craftsy project!

AND!  There are still seats available for Claudine Hellmuth’s ScrapFest 2011 Workshop!  Check it out!

We’ve solved the mysteries of border punches.  We’ve used them on cards and scrapbook layouts.  We LOVE all the cute new designs (especially the plaid one!) and we’re not done yet.

Border punches are such an easy way to add that extra touch of creativity to a project.  And the best part…it takes no time at all!

Today I have an adorable idea for you…but it’s much easier to show you how stinkin’ cute this is in a VIDEO.

Happy Border Punching!
