Circle Punches

Ask my fellow scrappers and they’ll tell you I ADORE using circles on my layouts and cards! While the most basic of shapes, circles bring movement and natural interest to a design. I continue to invest in a variety of tools to create circles because I know they’ll never go out of style. In addition to my variety of circle punches, I recently added the new Circle Scissor Pro to my collection and WOW! I count on flawless circles every time without the hassle of wasting paper and cutting again and again until its right.

To commemorate my niece’s 2nd birthday, I combined punched circles, circles cut with the Circle Scissor Pro, circle gemstones, and even my i-top Brad Maker that allowed me to create custom brads to match my layout perfectly. Mix and match circles of all sizes for a fun, flirty layout!

Come to Archiver’s this weekend and try the newest tools to hit our shelves and ask for a demo of the Circle Scissor Pro too!

Oh what fun it was to peruse old photos of Great Grandpa in a quest for the perfect addition to this year’s Father’s Day card. I love including photos on cards as a way to remember the days of old. When working with original photos, don’t forget to make archival safe copies. Archiver’s has a convenient archival color copier to easily copy original photos and size them perfectly to fit your cards (and scrapbook pages too!).

The vintage vibe of 7gypsies paper offered the perfect backdrop for this carefree photo. I chose my three favorite scrapbook tools to work with, making it easy to construct the card: We R Memory Keepers Corner Chompers for sophisticated deco corners, my Tonic distress tool to add texture, and my trusty border punch and circle punches that always come through when I need them!  And, when plain circles are just…well…too plain, use a dotted stamp with VersaMark to add a subtle background. I finished the card with brown twine in mini knots to accentuate the downright adorable photo of Great Grandpa.

Even though Father’s Day is this Sunday, there’s still plenty of time to make a card Dad, Grandpa and Great Grandpa will love!
