I don’t know about you, but I sometimes suffer from “creative block”–you know, when you stare at the pile of photos and supplies in front of you and can’t figure out what to do with them? When that happens, I turn to idea books! There are dozens and dozens of idea books out there, filled with lots and lots of creative ideas for pages, cards, and more.

I am in mid-planning for a family trip to Disney World this summer.  My husband and I took our eldest son Will, when he was four.  Will was in awe of the place.  My husband and I smiled just watching him.  We have great memories and photos from that trip.  When we got back – I had every intention of an elaborate scrapbook to commemorate our trip (which is still not done – trip was in 2007!).  I also wanted to make Will a quick little album that he could enjoy.  I did finish that album and it has turned into the most beloved memory book in our house.

Attention Tim Holtz fans!  Angie and I just got our hands on a copy of the new Tim Holtz book, A Compendium of Curiosities.  Now we understand what all the buzz is about.  It is a beautiful book!  It is filled with amazing pictures, pages and projects as only Tim can do. It even has step-by-step instructions for the many awesome techniques he is famous for. This is definitly our pick of the week. It will be arriving in our stores in the next couple of weeks.  Can’t wait!!!
