Pick of the Week: Ditto!

I don’t know about you, but I’m always in search of products that will help me scrapbook my memories faster. That’s why I’m loving the new Ditto line from Hampton Arts!

This collection of products is designed to help you do just that–scrapbook faster and with little to no designing required! Start with a binder (either 8 1/2 x 11 or 8×8) and a pack of insert pages. Each pack contains almost 100 pages, with different styles in each pack (photo pockets, calendar pages, cool half-pages, and more). You can even mix 8×8 pages in your 8 1/2 x 11 binder. Then, you simply add in your photos where you want, jot down a few notes, and add a few simple embellishments, like coordinating photo pockets and envelopes, stamps, tags, or sticky notes. Throw in various memorabilia like tickets, receipts, etc., too. Remember, no planning–just stick stuff down as you go and that’s it!

It’s like having a personal planner/calendar and scrapbook, all-in-one. Ditto scrapbooks are awesome for documenting your daily life, a special trip, or those memories that you want to record, but don’t want to make a full 12×12 layout for. Use it to document a child’s first year, the process of building a house, planning a wedding, give it to your child to document their high school or college memories, and much more. There are seriously so many options!

Check out these fantastic samples created by Hampton Arts!

Cool, right? Get to Archiver’s to see the entire Ditto line for yourself. A full album sample for you to flip through is coming soon to each store, too!

This looks like just what I am looking for as I start to prepare for journaling a trip. I am trying to find a way to ‘journal’ as I go and this might be perfect. I will check it out next time I am in my area store.

I just saw these yesterday when I was in my local store. I love the pockets, and picked up the journaling stamp set.

I just bought one on Saturday and LOVE it! I’m using it as a “to do” journal and scrapbook; what a great line.

I was able to purchase the 8.5 x 11 binder this past Saturday and am so excited to get started. However, the Archivers I visited did not have the refill inserts. Do you think Archivers On-line will be stocking them soon? I do not have an Archiver’s near me and hope to to get started soon.

This isn’t Archiver’s fault at all, but I wanted to post that I’m somewhat disappointed in the packaging/construction for the Ditto 8 1/2 x 11 ditto binder. I picked one up tonight at my local Archiver’s and when I got it home and tried to put page protectors into it, I realized that it has a non-standard binder – so I am going to have to punch my own holes into every page protector. My assumption is that since it also comes in a 8 x 8, the manufacturer is keeping costs lower by using only one size of metal fitting on the inside of the binder. However, it would have been nice to see a note about this somewhere on the packaging. It’s a minor inconvenience, but a stupid one nonetheless. I’m still happy with the binder and look forward to using it as my One Little Word album for 2012, but what a bad surprise.

Hi Kara! Thanks for your feedback – we’ll pass the information along to the manufacturer. We’re sorry about your disappointment.

Meg – thanks. The gentleman from the manufacturer was very nice and seemed genuinely appreciative of the feedback. I told him in email – and would share here as well – that I really do like the quality of the Ditto binder and the chipboard cover will be great for individual customization. I’m getting along fine punching my own holes and I know now for the future.

Thanks to Archivers and the makers of Ditto for being responsive to customer feedback.

I bought my ditto last summer….and I JUST pulled it out to put it together (so many crafts….so little time!). I’d love to see more pictures of what others have done with it. I’ve searched and there’s little out there. Anyone have any ideas?
