It’s almost here…
My mom isn’t really a crafter, but she LOVES receiving handmade things. This week at Archiver’s, you can stop in and make this really cute handmade gift card holder for $1.00 with the purchase of any gift card. You can also purchase the gift card pillow boxes for $0.59 and decorate them at home if you are planning on a gift card from somewhere else. (you may even want to brush up on your scrap-lifting skills by using our design) While you are there, don’t forget to make a mental note of what YOU might want for Mother’s Day! There are tons of things I know “I can’t” live without right now… 7Gypsies, Tim Holtz, Unity ……….aaannnddd……….I just heard through the grapevine that October Afternoon will be landing in stores in just a few weeks!!! Can you stand it?
As if you needed a reason to stop in Archiver’s this week…

I made a pillow box with this idea in mind a couple of months ago. Mine is a holiday (xmas) theme.
I used heavyweight white cardstock for the pillow box and then ran it though with the Cuttlebug Snowflake embossing folder. Made a black belly band to go around the middle (top to bottom—not side to side). Left a little extra cardstock at the top of the band and used my Crop A Dile and put a silver eyelet in at the top of the band. Then, I stamped a ‘Merry Christmas’ image on black cardstock and used red tinsel embossing power. Cut that out with an oval punch and placed it in the center of the box in front of the belly band with a foam square. It can either hang from a Christmas tree with treats or it can also be tied to a package. Looks so cute & elegant!! I know, it’s only May and already I’m making Christmas stuff….lol
