For those of you who haven’t heard, Sizzix Tim Holtz dies are at Archiver’s! We’ve got his alpha strip, decorative edges, signs, labels and more! Here’s a card I made using 3 of his dies: Caged Bird, Baroque label and Vintage Market alpha.
Card Tip: Use Cosmo Cricket’s 6×6 Mini Decks of paper for cardmaking. Since the patterns are smaller than their 12×12 sheets, you can see more of the pattern on small images, like the die-cut bird and label.
Full instructions for this card are available online.
Stop in Archiver’s this Friday-Sunday for Tim Holtz Demo Weekend! Get a chance to use his distress inks, cling stamps and the caged bird die. Love this :)

I’ve picked up a couple of the dies. They are wonderful! I’m looking forward to the weekend. Will you stock his designer paper?

I love Tim Holtz products… I already have a couple of the dies and a couple of the stamp sets. I know I’m a fan, but you can believe me when I say that any product with Tim Holtz’s name on it is the absolute BEST!
That being said, I have to say that Archiver’s Tim Holtz demo here in Austin, TX was, to say the least, VERY DISAPPOINTING!

Tim is featuring Archiver’s on his blog today! You need to check it out and see all the comments from all the people who wish they had an Archiver’s near them. I’m one of the lucky ones who do! I am so looking forward to visiting today!

You gotta change the title. I thought he was dead and couldn’t imagine how that could happen. Just to let you know.

Love Tim Holtz & his products!! I saw some of the presentation at Archiver’s of his products—my mom & I made the trip (30 miles one way for us) to see it. Although it wasn’t disappointing, like the one person above who commented but, it would be nice if the ladies that worked in the store spent some time online and learned a little more about the products that Archiver’s carries. There is so much free information out here it’s ridiculous to not be aware.
Although I don’t work at Archiver’s, I did spend some time yesterday answering customer questions about products and showing them where products were located in the store, even after sales people said they never heard of it and/or didn’t carry it….lol I’ve only been scrapbooking & card making for 8 months and feel like an expert compared to the staff. If the sales staff could devote a half hour of their time, a couple of times a week researching stuff out here, they would know as much as I do about the products they carry in their store. It should be part of their training—knowing your product lines is just as important as knowing how to ring a sale on the register. They kind of go together. I also work retail and realize what a disservice it is to my company and customers if I don’t know anything about what I’m selling. But, despite this, I do love Archiver’s—-they have the best selection!!

Love Tim Holtz supplies, but I have to admit that I had an initial scare when reading the title of this article. Why? I read it in the LITERAL sense and thought the worst !!

I go to Archivers when I visit my daughter 7 hours away. They never have the mini decks by Cosmo Cricket. I have looked, I have asked, and finally realized I have to order them from an online source if I want any of them. The focus seems to be on scrapbooking rather than on cardmaking. I usually do manage to spend money there, though, but it is always disappointing when it comes to mini decks.

Can I use the “Tim Holtz Caged Bird die” with my Epic Six.
-
Yes! You’ll just need another clear cutting mat (if you don’t already have 2) to sandwich the die. You’ll use the second clear mat instead of using one of the gray platforms. You can do this with ANY Sizzix thick cuts die. The thick cuts are great for going through fabric, chipboard, acetate and other thicker materials. Have fun
