Golf Page Layout

I had a request to post the page I made to go along with my Grandpa’s story – so I am sharing.  My pages are pretty simple (I love Quickutz dies – which are used in the title & golf club) with plenty of room for storytelling.  I also use the hybrid scrapping method, so I can focus on my favorite picture for the page and then use coordinating pocket pages for my other photos.  Special tip – When the colors on your photos are hard to work with consider converting the photo to black and white or sepia tone.  My aunt’s red shirt and my mom’s purple shirt really clashed when I was trying to pick paper colors.  I used our archival color copier to change the picture to sepia, so the colors in the photo didn’t distract from my layout.  As long as the copy is archival – it is safe to use with your albums.

This is a great LO….the simplicity is perfect and love the picture from the rear of the cart – that’s a nice, unexpected perspective. Wrapping the journaling around the photo is a nice touch as is the golf club and ball embellishments. TFS!
