Sending a hug in the mail

Valentine’s day always gets me excited about making cards.  What better time is there to send a little love someone’s way with something you made yourself?  At my house, Valentines aren’t always romantic, my daughters and I create cards to send to lots of different friends and family members.  It makes me smile when I think back to my childhood, creating Valentines for my classmates, folding paper squares in half and cutting out hearts of every shape and size, pasting them onto color-crayon-decorated construction paper cards with WAY too much Elmer’s glue.

Here are three Valentine card ideas created by our designers, Molly and Angie to inspire you to send some love to your grandma, your sister, your dad, your best friend, anyone!  With these cards, you won’t need any Elmer’s glue, but the sentiment is still the same.  It’s a fun way to express yourself and tell the people in your life that you love them - like sending a hug in the mail!

I recently went to a crop at Archivers and there was a valentine card kit from Basic Grey. I absolutely love the kits that they are producing. I watched the Super Bowl and was able to make 8 fantastic cards without any thought. I just followed the directions. My husband was so impressed with my “creative” abilities… if he ONLY knew :)

I was able to use my 30% off coupon on the kit, which makes me feel like I’m helping out the family during the hard times. My husband is so supportive of my passion for scrapbooking and card making. I absolutely love your store and you guys have been putting on some excellent classes. Thanks to all of your designers and team!

Love these cards!! This is yet another reason why I love Valentine’s Day–the cards are just so beautiful & cute! Plus it gives me another reason to incorporate pink into my projects :)
Also, Hero Arts had a great idea (video on youtube) with that cupcake stamp. They used a craft knife to cut out the half circle— just below where the heart is on the cupcake—and made a cute slider piece out of the heart and wrote a little message on the slider piece. I’m going to Archiver’s today to pick up that stamp! Love it! Thanks for posting these photos of the cards—they are great!

    Hello!
These are wonderful ideas! But any chance you can list the materials you used? In case we would like to purchase them from our friendly, neighborhood Archiver’s store??
